Terms and Conditions of online sales

    Prices and Payment

  1. All prices displayed on the website are in pounds sterling (£). Jocelyn Lawman Bespoke Illustration1 reserves the right to change prices at any time without advance notice.
  2. A standard pricing scheme exists for the purchase of "off the shelf" card designs. These are displayed on the website and will be confirmed in the customer’s basket at the point at which the customer confirms that they wish to pay for their purchase.
  3. For customers of bespoke products such as wedding stationery, cards or portraiture, where non standard prices may apply, the cost of deposits or final balances will be confirmed in writing. Payment of such amounts is accepted by cheque or by credit or debit card which is facilitated by a feature on the website enabling customers to specify the amount they wish to pay.
  4. JLBI will accept payment by cheque or by credit or debit card. Online payments by credit and debit card are processed and validated by the Google Checkout facility who will levy a commission fee to JLBI for the processing and validation of payments. Google have undertaken to transfer funds to JLBI within one working day of validating the payment. Payments received by cheque may take up to seven working days to clear. Orders paid for by cheque may be subject to delay in being despatched while the cheque is processed.
  5. At the time of their first purchase using the Google Checkout facility customers will be required to agree to the terms and conditions of using that system.
  6. Purchases made via the Google Checkout system will appear as "Google – Jocelyn Lawman" on customer's statements.
  7. After completing their purchase, customers will receive an email from Google confirming their order.
  8. Delivery

  9. Orders will be posted to the provided delivery address, using standard Royal Mail services within 3 working days of payment for the order being received. JLBI will advise customers if, for whatever reason, this target cannot be met.
  10. Standard charges for postage and packing will be applied to orders. These reflect standard Royal Mail rates and the weight and size of the items. JLBI reserves the right to change these at any time without prior notice to take account of any changes to the Royal Mail pricing structure.
  11. The postage and packing charges that will be applied to orders are as follows:
    • - up to 5 single cards: 50p
    • - up to 15 single cards: £1.00
    • - between 1 and 3 packs of multiple cards: £1.50
    • - between 4 and 6 packs of multiple cards: £2.50
    • - between 7 and 10 packs of multiple cards: £3.50
  12. The total delivery charge incurred by the order will be shown in the customer's basket at the point of checking out.
  13. Dependency upon a third party for delivery means that JLBI cannot guarantee the timeliness of deliveries.
  14. For urgent deliveries, orders can be sent using tracked or guaranteed delivery date services, however additional charges may apply.
  15. Availability

  16. All products displayed are subject to availability. If an order cannot be fulfilled, JLBI will provide an equivalent alternative. A full refund will be provided if the alternative is unsuitable.
  17. Returns

  18. Goods may be returned within seven days of receipt but they must be returned in their original packaging and in a condition to permit their resale. A replacement, alternative, or refund will only be issued on receipt of the returned goods.
  19. Refunds will not be issued on bespoke designs which have been made on commission from the client.
  20. If an order is delivered to the customer in a damaged state, please contact JLBI within 7 days of receipt for details of how to return the damaged item. On receipt of the damaged goods JLBI will despatch a replacement and refund the cost of returning the item (at Royal Mail rates). When returning items customers are advised to obtain a proof of posting certificate as JLBI will not issue refunds until the damaged goods are received.
  21. Refunds

  22. In the event that a refund for all or part of a customer's order is agreed, the agreed amount will be credited to the customer's credit or debit card. Where the customer paid for the goods by cheque, any refund will be made in the same way.
  23. Copyright

  24. All designs and images whether printed, electronically reproduced on the website, or in any other format remain the property of Jocelyn Lawman, and may not be reproduced or modified without the permission of Jocelyn Lawman, unless an agreement has been reached.
  25. Data Protection & Privacy

  26. At the point of placing an order Google Checkout will collect the customer's address, telephone number and email address and pass it to JLBI for the purposes of facilitating the order.
  27. JLBI will retain the customer's contact details for the purposes of providing an efficient after sale service, facilitating future orders, and notifying customers about new products and promotions. Customer details will not be shared with a third party without the consent of the subject of that data.
  28. In the event that a customer wishes their contact details to be removed from the JLBI client database they should send an email to jocelyn@jocelynlawman.co.uk with "please remove my details from your customer database" in the subject line.
  29. The customer’s financial details will remain the property of Google Checkout and will not be passed to JLBI.
